Woolgoolga & District Retirement Village (WDRV) is seeking a dedicated Maintenance / Grounds Person to join our team on a Permanent Part-Time basis (45 hours / fortnight).
About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced, motivated, and hardworking Maintenance / Grounds Person to join our team. This permanent part-time position is for 45 hours per fortnight, worked across Monday, Thursday and Friday each week.
This hands-on position is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in their work and thrives in a team-focused environment. Due to the physical nature of the role, applicants must have a good level of fitness.
Duties include:
- General gardening and mowing
- Basic maintenance and repair work
- External cleaning
- Interacting respectfully with aged care residents and indiependent living clients
- Liaising with contractors under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor
- Following organisational policies, procedures and WHS guidelines
- Attending mandatory training and education sessions
Essential Requirements:
- Wilingness to undergo a National Criminal Police Check
- COVID-19 Vaccination
- Driver’s licence
- Computer literacy and strong written / oral communication skills
- Ability to follow WHS principles and procedures
- Previous experience in facilities, accommodation or aged care setting (preferred)
- Skills in painting, cleaning and general property maintenance
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
