We recognise the importance of protecting your personal information and are committed to handling it responsibly, lawfully and transparently. This Privacy Statement explains our commitment to safeguarding the personal information we collect, how we use and protect that information, and your rights in relation to it.

 

WDRV manages personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), including the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). We also support our privacy obligations under the Aged Care Act 2024 (Cth), the Aged Care Rules 2025 (Cth) and the Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards.

 

We only collect personal information that is reasonably necessary for our functions and activities or as otherwise required or authorised by law. We use personal information only for the purposes for which it was collected, or for other purposes permitted by law. WDRV is committed to protecting personal information through appropriate administrative, technical and physical safeguards.

In the course of providing our services and operating our organisation, WDRV may collect both personal information and sensitive information, as those terms are defined in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

The personal information we collect will depend on your relationship with WDRV and the services we provide. We only collect information that is reasonably necessary to deliver our services, meet our legal and regulatory obligations, or as otherwise authorised by law.

WDRV is committed to ensuring that individuals can raise privacy concerns or make a complaint without fear of reprisal. We will treat all complaints fairly, respectfully, promptly and confidentially.

If you believe that we have not handled your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), you may lodge a complaint with our Privacy Officer using the contact details above. We aim to acknowledge receipt of your complaint within 7 business days and, where practicable, provide a written response within 30 days. If we are unable to resolve your complaint within that timeframe, we will keep you informed of its progress.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC), which regulates privacy under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
